  • PixInsight processing includes calibration, registering,  LRGB creation, gradient removal and non-linear stretching with HistogramTransformation .

  • Noiseware 5, a PhotoShop plug-in.

  • PhotoShop for final touch up.

Comet C/2015 V2 (Johnson) is a long-period comet discovered on November 3rd, 2015 by Jess Johnson. The comet made its closest approach to Earth on June 5, 2017, at a distance of about 75 million miles. It brightened to about magnitude 8.
